A little information for the reader…

Mali me Gropa (Hollow mountain) is one of the rare karst phenomena in Albania and one of the rarest in Europe, in terms of size and extent. This mountain got its name from its upper surface, which is filled with karst pits. It is a destination for all mountain climbing and skiing enthusiasts. In winter, it is almost always covered with snow, which sometimes reaches several meters, making it suitable for the sport of extreme skiing. There are no signs, but there are paths leading up to the highest elevation. The mountain is mostly bare of trees except for low vegetation.

Tour Program:

Hollow Mountain is located very close to the city of Tirana, and is part of the national park of Dajti Mountain.
The journey starts at 08:00 from your hotel.
From the hotel to the trail where the hiking starts, it takes about 1 hour by 4×4 car. The trail is called ShënMëri.
Then we start hiking, where we will be accompanied by the interesting view of large pits, where this mountain got its name. The maximum height is about 1800 meters. Our hiking starts at an altitude of 950 meters.
The total duration is 3 hours 30 minutes.
